Community Action for Locally Managing Stress (CALMS)

CALMS provides counselling, education, prevention and rehabilitation programmes and services that empower individuals and organisations to recognise, reduce and manage stress effectively. CALMS helps people with:

POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER - STRESS - ANXIETY - DEPRESSION - SUICIDAL IMPULSES - FEELINGS OF HOPELESSNESS

CALMS (Community Action for Locally Managing Stress) is moving to new premises and looking to raise funds to create a new and welcoming environment from where they can deliver their essential and much needed services. Now more than ever, mental health in our city needs support.

Due to COVID 19, the demand for the services CALMS provides has increased dramatically. CALMS has seen a significant increase in stress calls and because of this the need for their services in our town has never been more valuable.
