The community want to acquire and convert St Mary's Church Aberafan into a Heritage Centre, to honour Dic Penderyn, a community arts space and a well-being centre, for people to stay connected and not be lonely.

I'm raising £5,000 for the initial stages of surveys, estimates of repairs and legal advice etc. These will be needed for future grant applications.

Once we get this advice, we can decide if we can acquire the Church. (if for any reason the project does not proceed, any of the donated funds will be given to Carmel Chapel for their food bank.)
