Story
In July 2017 a team of 12 of us went to Cambodia and installed water towers to 2 schools and 8 house systems (clean water filtration, solar panels to feed the the filtration pumps, lighting for the house and small power to charge things up). The July trip brought water to around 2300 people. We are now looking to do this on a larger scale and make a bigger impact on eradicating the water born diseases in this area. With your help we are looking at installing a further 15 water towers and as many house systems as possible and deliver an educational programme around water hygiene. This would benefit around 15,000 people.
Along with providing the water towers and filtration to the schools your money will be providing 10 years of maintenance and support back up which is delivered through Planet Water and there scheme of employing local engineers and giving them the required training. We will also be supplying the schools with a full set of Uniforms for the students along with dental kits and other hygiene kits (from our experience these are much needed as the children literally just have the clothes that they are stood in).
For the House Systems along with supplying the Filtration system, water pump, pipework, solar panel, wiring etc your money will also be paying for a basic tool kit that will be left with each house for them to be able to maintain their systems along with aiding them do further works themselves in the future. ( Each household also has training in maintaining the equipment along with the same water hygiene training).
We are requesting donations through 2 streams.
1. Personal sponsorship of £20 (if you can afford more that would be great). For this you will be entered in to a draw for the chance to be one of 4 personal sponsors who will join the engineers on the trip to install all the equipment and also help in the education of water hygiene etc in the schools and villages.
2. This is through corporate sponsorship for which a company can sponsor a complete water tower or house system.
For your sponsorship of a tower you can elect a staff member or client etc to join the trip and assist with the installations and the education programme. The Tower will have your company name on it which can be used for your companies publicity/advertising back in the UK.
For your sponsorship of a House System you will have your company name on the Filter box system which can be used for your companies publicity/advertising back in the UK.
For corporate sponsorship please leave your details so this can be discussed directly.
We can assure you that any donations to this cause will be greatly appreciated by the communities that you are helping and effectively changing there lives for the better.
