Weʼve raised £20 to fundraise for a volunteering trip to Cambodia, where 13 pupils will participate in a variety of projects to support local communities.

Story

Our group consists of 13 students and 1 teacher who are taking part in a volunteering trip with Camps Cambodia in 2019. During our four weeks in country we will be participating in a number of different projects that support the local rural communities, these will include:-
Building new housing
Construction of village wells and toilets
Teaching English
Construction projects in schools
And reforestation projects.

The aim is to help the local communities whilst learning about their culture, history and traditions.

This is an amazing opportunity for our students to gain a greater insight into other cultures whilst giving something back to support the people living in these communities.

To help raise funds the group will be completing a number of different activities such as:-

Coast to coast, bag packs, bootfairs, car washes and other events over the next 2 years.

The team have just completed their sponsored coast to coast walk (fowey to padstow) in horrendous conditions. Thanks to the guy in Lanivet who donated £20 to the team.

The group are in the final preparations for their sponsored coast to coast walk. They will be walking from the North coast of Cornwall (Padstow) to the south coast (Fowey)
