I've raised £1000 to help fund our trip to build a home with the charity ‘Volunteer Building Cambodia’

Hi, our names are Tabitha and Winnie, we are sixth formers and are currently raising money for our upcoming trip to Cambodia, with our school, this summer. On our trip we will be volunteering at a local school, teaching English and also building a house for a needy and worthy family in the local area. The money raised will go towards the charity, ‘Volunteer Building Cambodia’ (VBC) as with the VBC, we will be building a complete house from start to finish. The home we build will provide shelter and security for a worthy, hard working Cambodian family living in need.
Poor education, lack of skills and shortage of job oppurtunities mean many rural Cambodians are still living in extreme poverty with inadequate shelter. The house we aim to build will replace fragile structures that offer little protection from the elements and will improve the living conditions through better sanitation, increased security, better sleeping arrangements and healthier living for a family in need.
We are also running a homemade cake stall at the Little Hadham Farmer’s Market, on the last Saturday of every month, 8:30am-11:30am. Please come and support our stall! Any donations would be greatly appreciated by all the families we support and help in Cambodia.
