Story

Building on the legacy of The Legends last year, a new group of Cameley boys will be taking on the Muddy Madness 5k in Bristol this Saturday! They have all been training really hard and hope to raise a little bit of money to raise awareness at school and in the local community of boys' mental health.

Boys' (and men's) mental health is an under recognised area of need in schools and wider community. Cameley is a Boys In Mind school (https://boysinmind.co.uk/) and believes in giving all our children the opportunities and freedom to talk about their feelings and emotions and promote positive mental health.

No one should feel ashamed of: –

Talking about their feelings

Asking for help when they’re feeling down or struggling

Being honest

Being themselves

However, despite much work to challenge the stigma around mental health, many boys and young men are still unwilling and unable to open up about their difficulties and get help. They suffer in silence and tragically some go on to take their lives.
