    Story

Come June I well be traveling to Thailand along with 20 of my peers. We will be traveling up into the mountains in the north of Thailand to a Karen village there. The Karen people are the native people of Thailand and largely exist independently, surviving on what they can produce themselves. One of the largest problems that they face is access to clean running water. Often villagers have to walk up to 5 miles to the nearest source of water. This means that they do not have clean running water within the village. Myself along with the Pakanyor foundation and my peers will be laying down a pipeline from the stream where the villagers get their water into their village. There we will build two water tanks out of concrete, allowing the water to be collected there and allowing the villagers to easily access clean water.
