Story

Cameron Patel was first diagnosed with Leukemia in September 2018 and was sent to Ward 27 in the Leicester Royal Infirmary to start treatment. From the moment that he entered the Ward, Cameron was so well looked after by the nurses and staff that it instantly became his home away from home. They were more than just carers for Cameron, they were his friends at the scariest time of his life. Due to the funding that the ward receives as a Teenage Cancer Ward, they can have one nurse per patient, and for Cameron, that made all the difference.

Cameron was brightest star. The most loving grandson and son, the best brother, and the fiercest friend. He touched so many hearts in his brief time with us, and always worked to raise awareness of his situation. For those that Cameron has left behind, we want to carry on his work and legacy, and that is why all proceeds will go to Ward 27, LRI.
