Since I last visited Nepal in 2011, I have been meaning to return at some point and have managed to save up enough money to buy my own flights there. Following the devastating effects of the 2015 earthquake, many people have been struggling to get back on their feet and the after effects are still very much at play.

I have decided to spend 2 weeks volunteering with EPSA-Nepal. Here, I will be helping with the women's empowerment programme. Due to the harsh living conditions and culture towards women, especially disabled women, this minority is particularly affected and is worthy of extra support. Often, these women (age 18-45) will have a lack of education, be badly neglected by their own families and communities, and will be discriminated against for their gender, for being poor and for being disabled.

I have decided to create personalised art pieces at a low price (£5-£10 - or more if you are willing). Please check out my instagram page for reference work: @blvxk.art.
