We are going to Pula, Croatia next July (2017) for 2 weeks to do a hospital laboratory placement. This placement was arranged through a company called Gap Medics and it well help us with our journey to become future scientists. Our placement will require us to work in a remote area and allow us to work mostly in the cytology department to observe how various samples are analysed and how malignant cells are recognized from viewing them under the microscope. This opportunity is very beneficial to us as we will become more knowledgeable of any cancer related research or studies that we can then go on to for our employment in the near future. It will also help us learn about the difference between healthcare in the UK and in countries overseas. The money that you donate will help fund us with our accommodation, travel expenses, the actual laboratory placement, and also a donation to the hospital.
