Story

As the UK begins to return to some sense of normality, it’s important to remember that many countries around the world are still at the peak of the pandemic. Due to the lack of government support, many are left without the means to survive.

XamAM Alba Maria, founder of Terra Mirim Foundation, Brazil, has launched a Campaign called "Helping the Helpless" for the vulnerable who are too often overlooked and neglected.

With the current circumstances surrounding Covid-19, aid is now critical.

"Aid Parcels" that include food, bed linen and cleaning materials will be distributed, each one costing between £5 and £50.

Even the smallest donations can help bring some relief to those suffering.

Your contributions will be passed to Terra Mirim on its 29th Birthday Celebration as our British Gift to the local community. Four Trusted Organisations will benefit from this campaign;

- Paws of Light NGO (animal shelter).

- Palmares Art Association (supports the abandoned elderly located in settlements first established by escaped slaves in Brazil).

- ADESF Association for the handicapped.

- Benedita de Camurugi's Home for children and youth (Orphanage).

We are pleased to announce that 1 tonne of food has already been distributed since the campaign was launched. Together, with strength and open hearts, we can help the silent, helpeless ones.
