Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I am Caitlin King and I am currently in year 10 at Brannel School in St.Stephens Cornwall.
I am currently looking for donations to help me take part in Camps International. This is a new partnership for Brannel School and is the first time they will be taking part in the Camp.
Camps International started running expeditions in 2002 and over 22,000 students have travelled with them from around the world. These students have collectively completed over 80,000 weeks of volunteering work. Some of the projects completed include building classrooms, community centres, combatting deforestation and protecting wildlife.
I would like to take part in the Camps International Trip to Tanzania in the summer of 2019. I am hoping to be able to positively affect the lives of those living in the area and gain an amazing experience at the same time. On completion of my volunteering I will also be able to apply for a Certificate of Personal Effectiveness Level 3. To do this I need to raise at least £4000. I am hoping to do this with a variety of fund raising events such as a bake sale and this fundraising page online.
I am hoping you can help me make my dream come true at the same time as helping others in need.
