Hi :) I'm Lauren, and I am travelling to Ecuador in Summer 2017 with Camps International. This is a company that runs volunteer trips to places around the world to improve the communities living there and I have decided to volunteer to go and help.
I will be staying in Ecuador for month and will be doing various things to help the community and the environment. These include replanting the rainforest, wilderness protection, supporting rural communities, building and improving schools and giving education, and a marine protection beach clean-up programme.
However, to get to Ecuador, and to fund for the help I will be giving to the community it’s going to cost £4,120, which is quite a lot of money. Personally myself, I have my own job where all the money goes towards this expedition and I have already done cake sales. I also plan to do a fundraise Bungee Jump this September and a Car Boot sale to raise more money. However, I still have a lot of money to raise as you can see.
No matter how small donation, any donation would be very helpful in getting me to Ecuador so I can help the community. For me, I love the environment and helping people, and going to Ecuador and actually in person improving the community and replanting the rainforest would be a life changing experience for both me and the people living there including the wildlife. Right now the rainforest in South America is experiencing mass destruction which is impacting all of us worldwide by global warming. This is one of the main reasons why I would love to get out there and help.
If you could give any donation, no matter how small or how big, it would be very helpful in getting me to Ecuador so I can help and support the rural communities living there while also rebuilding the environment and so improving the biodiversity of the area. Any donation would be appreciated.
