Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) is dedicated to improving the lives of dogs living with arthritis through evidence-based education, support, and resources for owners and professionals worldwide.

Where we started

Created by our founder, Dr Hannah Capon, a practicing vet and loving owner of a dog with OA, she saw a need to change how dogs suffering from OA were being supported.

OA is the leading reason for elected euthanasia,

OA is years of suffering in silence;

OA is not an old dog disease,

and simply giving painkillers is not enough!!!

Something needed to change!

Hannah spent years researching, meeting patients outside of clinic hours, at their houses, out on walks, and built an education system on how to manage OA and give these dogs better lives.

Where we are now

CAM has grown into a recognised advisory service for owners and professionals across the UK and many other countries. We have a fantastic owner community center where dog parents can learn, discuss topics, and find tools to help them on their journey.

We continue to grow in the professional space, offering training, resources, and a yearly education event. We know that to help change the way this disease is managed, we need to involve Owners, canine professionals, and vets at the same time.

Although the change is slow, we can still see it happening and taking hold as more and more companies see the need for change and actively get involved.

What’s next

Cam is starting to gain financial security through course sales, donations, sponsorships, and partnerships in English-speaking countries; however, our goal is to help dogs worldwide, and we need help. Our next round of fundraising and donations will go toward translations of educational materials, tools, and partnerships in countries that do not have the education, veterinary infrastructure, or money available as we do.

Together, we can make a difference for every arthritic dogs and the people who love them.
