    Story

With Canterbury Steiner School closing down in December, a group of parents and teachers are working together to create a new Waldorf inspired education initiative here in Kent.

Canterbury New School will offer an academically robust education through age relevant, stress free learning that will develop creativity, resilience and resourcefulness for the 21st Century.

Before they close, Canterbury Steiner School will be selling off the equipment and supplies. This makes it essential for us to raise the funds to ensure that these beautiful desks, chairs, blackboards, art supplies and Kindergarten toys remain part of our children's education.

Your support will help us keep Waldorf education alive in Kent - for our children and for all those new parents who have signed up to demonstrate serious interest in sending their children to this initiative.

Your support whether £20 or £200 will help us buy the things we need whether it be an extra desk for one more child or blackboards for the whole school.

Once these items have been sold off they will have gone forever so please do help us save them for children here in Kent. With your help we can ensure that our children and many more, continue to benefit from this wonderful, alternative education.

My daughter’s experience within Waldorf education has been both exciting and mind opening. I hope that more people can make Waldorf education available to their children.

Russell Schweickart., Apollo 9 astronaut, NASA Astronaut Technical Advisor, California Energy Commission, former Waldorf parent.

If I had a child of school age, I would send him to one of the Waldorf Schools.

Saul Bellow (1915-2005)., 1976 Nobel Literature Laureate.

Don't worry, our mummies and daddies will build us another school for the teachers to come and fill back up with love.
