I've raised £2000 to fund a tree carving sculpture for the community on Capenhurst village green

In October 2018 I suffered a mental breakdown. Life got on top of me due to various factors and finally not being able to cope without help. I have not worked properly since then and I am still trying to get on top of it. Depression and anxiety are very real. It's hard to snap out of it and although we all have problems, some have too many to deal with alone. We've all had many factors within capenhurst and ledsham over the past few years that contribute to this. Wellbeing is very important and I'm determined to make the environment around me better for us all and for the benefit of our health. We all need and want this, but we all need to help create the environment that we all want. I've tried with Christmas tree on the green and with planters donated by redrow, but unfortunately this doesn't please everyone. Recently, the villages have been entered in the the rhs Britain in bloom. The judges will come in August and are looking for litter, maintenance and planting to help pollinators. I do hope that we can win as it will be a great boost for the villages. It needs people to help and get involved. I've had a thought that a tree carving on the village green would be nice. Simon o'Rourke is a worldwide award winning tree artist and would gladly design and make a superb sculpture for us. I was thinking of it being a nature theme as the nature around us helps with our wellbeing. We would need to raise funds via a just giving page to fund, but I think it would be great if locals and local businesses got involved.
