I'm raising £100000 to Fund Palliative Care Research into Cancers like Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour that have a survival rate of less than 15%

As the first charity in the world dedicated to making a difference to those with this rare sarcoma and their loved ones, we need your help to make a difference.
DSRCT has only a 15% 5 year survival rate. With no internationally agreed on treatment protocol, DSRCT typically borrows treatments from other cancers. It is vital that DSRCT specific research is carried out.
Having recently funded our first piece of research, we are now working towards our second which will focus on ensuring that those with cancers like Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour which have a survival rate of less than 15% can live a full life for as long as possible; focusing on the management of side effects and ensuring that palliative care is about Living not dying.
We can’t do this without your help!
We have a full summer of fundraising planned. Splash and Stitch was a huge success and means we are almost £9,000 closer to our target. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came along, joined in remotely or who sponsored any of our stitchers or swimmers.
On the 13th of July, Pannal Golf Club in Harrogate are holding a charity day which will benefit Capture. If you would like to play on the day contact Sophiemccormackk@gmail.com
This will be followed by our Sponsored Marathon Your Way In A Month Challenge over the school summer holidays. Why not join us in covering 26 miles over 31 days in a method of your choice? Whether you are a walker, a swimmer, a runner, a cyclist or just swant to keep fit - this is the event for you. A no pressure event that can be done at a time and place to suit you. Do it with friends or family, colleagues or team-mates, or take on the challenge solo - it’s totally up to you. Sign up here and we’ll be in touch with more information: Marathon Your Way In A Month

It’s not ok that the survival rates of this rare cancer have stayed static for the last 20 years. We need your help to change the future.“
