Since Sophie was three weeks old I've taken her to numerous baby groups which have helped me meet other new mums and make some great friends for life, as well as helping Sophie grow into a very happy, smiley and curious (nosey!) little girl.

The groups we go to regularly are all run by Activate with Andy, a local business offering groups for babies, toddlers and young children everyday with Andy and his sister Michelle running each group.

Unfortunately, the closure of our local children's centres not only means there will be no groups for other new mums provided by our local authority but it also means Activate with Andy have lost a lot of their toys and all of their soft play equipment after some groups running for over 8years.

I have been roped into an exerciseathon to help fundraiser for new equipment to ensure Andy's groups can continue for Sophie and her friends, and continue to provide somewhere for other new mums to go long into the future... anybody who knows me knows I HATE exercise... this is a big deal and any donations however big or small, would be much appreciated xxx
