I've raised £3500 to Buy an All-terrain wheelchair for Rosie

Rosie was diagnosed with Leigh's disease at the age of two which is a life limiting condition. It has been a challenge so far but we try and enjoy every moment together. This means I try and include her in different activities and get her out and about, experiencing life to it's full, regardless of these challenges. This can be tough but with your help we could get this new equipment to make her 'life count'.
Rosie uses a heavy manual wheelchair on a daily basis and this has at times become a barrier to accessibility at many of our much loved places. We like to visit Cornwall yet we can't go on the sand without getting stuck. Last year we went to Whitby but her chair sank into the sand and I despairingly looked around for a beach sos but no help came! We can't access any beach without an adapted wheelchair and know how much her life would be improved if she could experience the joy of doing this. Rosie enjoys walks in the countryside as a family and this 'hippocampe’ chair will transport her safely on sand, soil and even snow! Please see video link here
“ It is Rosie’s basic right as a young person to be able to access these common activities and to participate fully so that she can live a broad and balanced youth” - Cara (Mum)
