Story
I'm running the Loch Ness Marathon on the 23rd September 2018 to raise money for Aaron's journey. Aaron is my cousin Louise's son. This is his story:
Aaron was first diagnosed with neuroblastoma (paediatric cancerous tumor) at the age of 4. He went through front line treatment, was cured and had no problems with cancer for 5 & half years. Unfortunately Aaron relapsed with the same cancer in November 2017. Although he is on treatment now the NHS will only fund so much treatment for children in this position and many children have tragically died while their parents desperately tried to raise the money to take their child abroad for treatment not available to them in the UK.
We desperately don't want to be left in that awful position later down the line so we are starting to fundraise now, in the hope that if Aaron needs this money it is there waiting. If (God willing) he doesn't need this fund we will divide it amongst the charities who have helped us as per Aaron's wishes.
It is only the kindness of others that have got us this far through this nightmare: friends, family, neighbours & very kind strangers. This journey has changed us all, but the good bit is we have had the opportunity to see the beauty in others people's souls.
Thank you for caring. ❤️
