Weʼre raising £500 to Support The Stained Glass Trust, in their running of The Stained Glass Centre in York.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I've recently started to do the occasional jog, and decided to give myself a challenge by participating in my first organised race event.
Living in Cardiff I have chosen to run in the Cardiff 10k taking place on 01/09/19.
I have already paid my entry fee and will not be using any funds raised by this JustGiving campaign to cover these costs.
Originally I did not have any other objective other than to run the race, but thought as i'm at it i may as well try and raise a bit for Charity.
I have selected the Stained Glass Trust, which runs the Stained Glass Centre in York. The trust has the aim of providing an educational centre to encourage the study and appreciation of stained glass, as well as to breathe life back into St Martin-cum-Gregory church; an evocative Grade I listed building, which dates back to before the 11th century.
More can be found out about the centre at the web address below
I can also confirmfor peace of mind that
"The Stained Glass Centre is operated by The Stained Glass Trust, registered charity no 1119401"
Any funds I raise will be transferred to The Stained Glass Trust once i have completed the 10k to help them with their education programmes and efforts.
Any money you can spare to support their efforts will be most appreciated :-)
