£120raised of £10,000 target by 5 supporters

Weʼre raising £10,000 to Help pay for essential repairs to the 160 year old, Grade 2* Listed, Cardigan Guildhall.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

We are a not for profit community organisation that operates and manages this 160 year old Heritage building as a community resource offering a Gallery, Community Centre, Function Rooms, Dance Hall, Commercial Kitchen, Wedding Venue and much more.

We (Menter Aberteifi) took it over from the Council in 2008 and since then have been running it on behalf of the community. We receive no regular core funding from any source and have been able to just about break even.

This year we have had major breakdowns of both the main Lift, which allows disabled access to the upper floor (£3,000 estimate) and also the iconic Guildhall Clock, (£2,000 estimate) which dominates the Cardigan skyline. In addition to this urgent remedial work is needed to cure water ingress problems with the front windows and elevations of the building. We have very little to contribute towards these costs so are hoping to crowdfund at least part of the costs.

We need to raise at least £10,000.

Whatever you can give would be gratefully received and help maintain this important heritage building and Cardigan landmark.

It seems important to preserve this historic building.
