My friend, Amanda, moved to North Carolina for a great job, with her doggy.

Unfortunately, she was laid off and was unable to get a job after that. She tried and eventually fell behind on bills and was being evicted from her rental accommodation.

She sold nearly all her personal belongings, used the money for food for her doggy and the rest for gas and began living in her car. She has been living on cold foods, like carrots and tinned fruits from Walmart. She has been asking gym's to let her use their showers, but the only gave a few weeks at a time of use as a goodwill gesture.

She now has secured a job in retail, but her doggy has to stay in her car all day. She comes out on her breaks to give him some time outside but it's not a nice place for a doggy to be couped up. She only eats 1 meal a day, a salad, that she gets free at work and any money she gets, she's saving for a place or food for her dog.

She had to use her money to pay for insurance on her car and had to go a few days without food, but ensured her doggy had food. She's so sweet and thoughtful like that!

She has been sleeping in her car since January 2017 and with the heat, coupled with having to move her car multiple times a night, it's really difficult for her to rest. She got sick recently and so I paid to put her in a hotel room for a night for her to rest up. However, she still has to work and so she's been getting sicker and sicker.

I wanted to raise money to help her pay for a deposit on a rental so she and her doggy could have the money. She will eventually have enough money for the first month of rent, but not enough for rent and deposit.
