Firstly I would like to thank you all for visiting this page and for being there throughout my journey of becoming a lawyer.

Qualifying as a solicitor was no easy task for me and as you all know, I have not been shy about my failures on the way. I was incredibly lucky that when I saw the dreaded "not pass" on my results page that I knew I had support from my family to take the resit without which I wouldn't have been able to do it again so soon.

The exams are expensive and failing them alone already comes with so much shame in the legal profession, the potential risk of having future jobs and training contracts that were lined up revoked. I know first hand that passing an exam does not determine whether or not you will be a great lawyer one day and we also know that the revamped SQE system still disproportionately limits people of low socioeconomic backgrounds joining the legal profession.

This is why I am raising £2,974 to fund one lucky student's resit and I need your help for it. This is the exact cost of the SQE2 exam as of September 2025. The winner will be chosen by me by picking an aspiring lawyer from my network. The money will go directly to the SRA/SQE set-up and I will personally make sure it is used for the resit and the resit only!
