Let me introduce myself. My name is Elaine and I have been Caring for a family member for over 16 years now. I have found it very rewarding on the one hand, but also extremely challenging on the other.

I decided to develop a website to support Carers as I wanted to prevent the loneliness and isolation that I endured and give a much needed life-line.

Wouldn't it be great to just log on and chat to a Carer Buddy who knows exactly how you feel, to give you advice and a helping hand by just listening? It would be like a virtual coffee morning and a little ray of sunshine!

The idea behind this fundraising is to make a wish come true for Carers. To enable them to experience a wonderful, once in a lifetime event, whether it be a holiday they've always dreamed of, to meet a favourite celebrity, or perhaps they may just want some quiet me time away from it all.

I gratefully and humbly would use your kind donations to make a Carers wish come true, and create a magical experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
