I've raised £2000 to get a reliable car for Ania's mother to get her to hospital straight away when her cystic fibrosis is problematic - sadly all too often.

Story

Ania is a six-year-old whose life revolves around emergency dashes to hospital when she is battling to breathe because of her cystic fibrosis. Her mother has always struggled to have any regular work as Ania is so frequently ill, but she now finds herself undergoing chemotherapy as well, leaving her feeling sick, tired and weak, so she really can't work at all for now. Bills are piling up and she hasn't got a buffer to fall back on in hard times, or any family who are able to give her financial support. They desperately need a reliable car for those midnight hospital dashes which cost about £80 by taxi.

Ania and her mother have been dealt a pretty rough deal in life. Coping with one life-threatening illness is a tough call for any family, but two at once has really brought them to their knees. I have helped them in various ways but don't feel that getting a car is something I can do on my own. I always have the feeling of "that could have been me". I know everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment, but if you feel able to give anything to help make these two lives a little easier, it will be greatly appreciated by them and by me.
