Weʼve raised £0 to buy a container to send equipment to a center for the disabled in Africa.

    Story

I've set up The Cariad Project because it seems wrong that we throw away good disability equipment in this country that people can still use.

In some African countries people can't access the equipment that we take for granted because it's not available or if it is it's too expensive.

The Cariad Project is sending good quality equipment that has been donated to a centre for the disabled that is in need in Africa. I'm seeking donations to help cover the cost of shipping the equipment.

The centre supports people in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In DRC people have been badly affected by the ongoing civil war and equipment is much needed, especially in rural areas.

The project meets an environmental issue in this country while supporting those in need in Africa.

It would be unrealistic to expect to raise the money for the project on an ongoing basis by donation so I have also set up a social enterprise Sarah's Coffee, an online coffee retailer. All the profits from the sale of Sarah's Caring Coffee at sarahscoffee.com go to The Cariad Project. But my social enterprise is only in the first year and it's not going to meet all the costs.

So I know it's a big ask but maybe you don't like coffee but you'd still like to support The Cariad Project. All donations to The Cariad Project will make a big difference to disabled people in DRC.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my project ♡
