On the 9th of October members of the Cariad Care Services ltd team will be doing a sponsored walk up Pen Y Fan to raise money for 2 amazing local charities.! Both charities mean a lot to Cariad Care and the services they offer to our community.

Me Myself and I

MMI have been established since 2013 and offer emotional support, reassurance, and opportunities for social connections in the community, since then they have evolved from a small organisation to a much bigger one taking residency in the former Brynhyfryd Primary School in Briton Ferry. Their core ethos will always remain “People Helping People” means that everyone supports one another to build friendships and foster positive lives. Their wide range of services such as friendship groups, day breaks, and social events are a much needed service in our community. We know just how important this charity is to our community from the many service users we care for who attend their group 💜

Neath Port Talbot Carers Service

NPT Carers Service was launched in April 2009 to support the

unsung heroes who care for loved ones unable to look after themselves.

Their aim is to help unpaid carers recognise the amazing caring role their doing and to provide them with emotional support , confidential advice and information.

Additionally they help them with the tougher area's they may have to deal with in their personal lives being an unpaid carer like support with welfare benefits, counselling, grants that may be available and emotional wellbeing workshops. They will offer them some much needed personal time and provide breaks from caring for their loved one with sitting services, and event they can access.
