I've raised £1000 to Help the people of the Caribbean suffering from the destructive forces of Hurricanes

To start, I'm not good at writing "compelling stories" the truth is, I just wanna help, in the same way I would want someone to help or at least try to if it were me.
Whenever we hear that a hurricane has hit an Island, the first thing we seem to do is post a statement saying "pray for **insert island**" and, while we mean well, a lot of the time that's about it, the media moves on to something new and our day to day stresses of life continue. I'm not judging, this is perfectly understandable. For those of us with family in the affected area's, we do what we can to help, whether it be financially or by physically sending barrels of clothes, food and other essentials. For those of us fortunate enough not to be affected this time, we brace ourselves for the next storm. When hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean, through social media, we could see the destruction take place almost real time. I have personally been to a lot of these places and met great people from there, so, I immediately vowed to help in whatever way I could. I'm not trying to knock any charities out there working tirelessly to assist but we also understand when people donate to a cause they want to see where their money is going directly. We considered putting on a fundraising dance which we still may do later on this year but people need help right NOW. So in the spirit of not just praying but also doing, I ask anyone who can, to donate whatever they can, to help. Whether it's a pound, a euro, a dollar, every mickle mek a muckle and we aint too proud to accept your help. We will use your donations to help the people at ground level with what they need to survive in these desperate times.
So far, British Virgin Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, St Martin/St Marteen, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Dominica, Haiti, , Anguilla, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Cuba, St Kitts & Nevis, Turks and Caicos, St Croix..... unfortunately, the list will only get longer as time passes
The money raised will be divided equally and given to as many different charities as possible and obviously practical across the affected islands working at ground level to assist aid efforts and given to the people to provide water, food, medication and shelter.
