Carina lives happily in the community, for twenty years now! In that time she has had many holidays with family, friends and neighbours, several in Spain, many in Scotland especially Johnshaven, and some really memorable ones; Canada 2003, California 2013, Barra 2014 and Portugal 2017, all of them dream holidays for Carina. Holidays and birthdays are important to Carina because they make her happy. She shares her experiences with her family and friends online and this contributes tremendously to better communication for Carina.

Carina deserves all the happiness that can come her way as do we all. She could have a budget holiday in Italy for a tenth of what we're trying to raise but that wouldn't fulfil her dream. Carina's wish is to take her own disability car on holiday so that she can take all the things she likes to take on holiday. She's been known to take six bags for a sleepover (and the boot was crammed to the gunnels on that ferry to Barra).
We're going to take our time, stay in places where we have friends on the way, like Switzerland, the occasional monastery or convent. Just about anywhere we're welcome.
Going by car holds many exciting opportunities far more than all the dubious adventures of a wee budget holiday.
Not for Carina! She loves to go somewhere different and still be surrounded by all the familiar items she likes to bring with her.

The funds raised will go directly to Carina for her dream holiday. Yes, it is a lot of money! Years ago, Carina could afford her own holidays, more recently, particular friends have enabled her holidays. Four years ago Carina lost her best friend and benefactor, John. Ten years ago she lost her friend and benefactor Alice. Benefactors, like the best of friends, are hard to find, and harder to lose.
With cuts to budgets and limitations of a pension this dream holiday will remain just that - a dream unless you can help to make Carina's dream come true with many small donations. Thanks.
