Story

Hello everyone, I would like to introduce you to Patches, she is the sweetest little old lady who has had the most awful start in life. Patches was abandoned by her family when they got a dog that she didn't like, so they let Patches live outside on a piece of waste ground next to their house, but provided her with NO shelter, NO fresh water and NO food!! Luckily I found Patches and along with some friends Sue, Kyla and Ross we fed her, made sure she had fresh water and shelter with blankets to keep her warm. But we could'nt continue too let her live the rest of her days outside so after some discussion with cats protection and Homeless Cats Cardiff it was decided that it would be best to get patches to a vet to be checked (it had been 10yrs plus since she had seen a vet) and then rehomed with someone very special and patient. This is when Homeless Cats Cardiff came to the rescue, after many weeks of building trust with patches we managed to catch her and get her to the vets. Surprisingly, Patches was quite well she needed some dental work and stitches but all the big tests came back negative. Joyce took care of patches over the weeks on the run up to Christmas and on boxing day patches went up to North Wales to her new home. The cost of the vets was £275.00 but I know Homeless Cats Cardiff spent alot more to save that little girl , so I would really like to support them and raise some money to help them continue the fantastic work they do. Please give as much as you can afford large or small, it all adds up. Thanks Mandy x
