I've raised £1000 to To raise funds for two incredible young girls, Daisy and Poppy the daughters of my late friend Tom.

Dear Friends and Family,
I'm reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request. My friends and I are taking on the Sheffield 10k challenge to raise funds for two incredible young girls, Daisy and Poppy the daughters of my late friend Tom. This will help them to continue with life skills like swimming and after school clubs and possibly contribute to a holiday as it has been a hard few months for them.
Sadly Tom passed away 25/7/24 surrounded by his loving family and friends ❤️.
Tom was clinically diagnosed with X-Linked Cerebral Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare genetic condition that damages the membrane covering nerve cells in the brain. His condition is extremely aggressive and, heartbreakingly, there was no cure for this disease.
Since Easter, Tom's health rapidly deteriorated from being a healthy, functioning man to not being unable to speak, swallow, or move.
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support, help, and kind words during this devastating time. Your love and encouragement mean the world to us ❤️.
To show our support and make a tangible difference in their lives, I, along with my colleagues Gareth, James and Carl have committed to running the Sheffield 10k on 29/9/24. But we can't do it alone – we need your help!
How You Can Help:
1. Donate: Any contribution, big or small, will go directly towards supporting Daisy and Poppy
2. Spread the Word: Share our fundraising page with your network. The more people who know, the more support we can gather.
3. Cheer Us On: If you're in Sheffield on the day of the race, come out and cheer us on. Your encouragement will keep us going!
