Story
I am deeply honored to have been selected as one of 343 UK firefighters traveling to Atlanta, USA this September. Together, we will climb the equivalent height of the World Trade Center to solemnly commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and pay tribute to the 343 brave brothers and sisters who tragically lost their lives while saving others in their hour of need.
The charities I proudly support through this challenge are The Firefighters Charity (UK), Blue Light Foundation (UK), and Terry Farrell Foundation (USA). These organizations provide essential support to firefighters and other blue light service members, along with their families. Their invaluable services include physical and mental health care, rehabilitation, and financial assistance during times of hardship. They stand as a vital lifeline for serving firefighters, retired colleagues, and their loved ones.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps keep the memory of the 343 heroes alive and directly supports those who continue to serve on the front lines today. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our emergency service community.
By contributing to this fundraiser, you are helping me represent Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service at an international memorial event while also supporting charities that care for our own when they need it most. To be transparent, part of the funds raised will cover costs associated with participating in this event—including travel, accommodation, and entry fees—while the remainder will go directly towards supporting emergency service charities in both the UK and USA.
My target is £2,000. I am truly grateful for your time in reading this message and for any support you can offer toward this important cause. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and completely secure; your details remain safe with them—they never sell information or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, I will withdraw funds directly to ensure efficiency and minimize costs.
Thank you sincerely for standing with us as we honor those who gave everything for others.
