Story
Some time ago I set myself the seemingly impossible task of running a half marathon. The training hasn't exactly gone to plan, and I was probably going to pull out giving some vague excuse of having too much work to do or having dodgy knees etc! But something kept drawing me back to the idea, and a little boy called Logan, and his brother, Toby, kept coming into my mind. I have followed the family's journey for some time now and I have seen Logan constantly battling the seemingly impossible on a daily basis.
Logan has been diagnosed with multiple conditions- he has an incredibly rare Chromosome deletion, just one of 2 documented cases and when he turned 1, the family also received the news that he has Migrating Partial Seizures in Infancy (MPSI). All of this means that Logan lives with daily seizures and has faced constant life threatening situations. His parents' goal is 'to parent the two happiest boys in the world' and their determination and courage is quite astounding. They need fundraising to help with equipment, medical treatments, therapies and to make sure he is as comfortable and supported as possible.
Having 6 and 3 year old boys myself I am constantly humbled and inspired by this family and all they are faced with.
So, I know money can't bring them what they really want, but if it can help in some small way then let's give it a go! Therefore I have decided to take my dodgy knees, put down the wine bottle for a while and get out there and do some proper training! On October 8th I will run/jog/stagger/walk the Peterborough half marathon; I would love it if you could spare a few pennies or pounds to help me along my way, and to support this truly inspirational family.
Thank you so much and please share with anyone else who might want to donate.
