Due to a devastating fire that completely destroyed a family business in under 11 minutes. Family and friends of our very talented potter and all round great friend want to help her get her business up and running again as soon as possible. She trained as a production thrower in the 1970s and 80s at Birkenhead Park Potteries in Wirral, making stoneware tableware. After the pottery closed she spent her time bringing up her family and working part-time as a pottery teacher. Until the fire she was making her own stoneware and raku pots.In her teaching studio. giving lessons to small groups as well as on a one-to-one basis. In addition, she held a few weekend "taster" courses, exhibiting at summer Potfests in the north of England and Scotland. Carla lost everything in the fire, her studio, equipment and her livelihood. . Any contribution, big or small will give our lovely friend Carla the opportunity to get her fabulous business back up and running as soon as possible.

Hi, Thank you so much for all the donations. Carla and Mike have have been overwhelmed by the love and support they have been given. The ground has now been cleared and discussions underway for putting in the new groundwork to rebuild a new workshop. Carla is potting again thanks to the kindness of a friend who has loaned her a wheel. Thank you all so much it means everything to know you are all behind the family. X
