    Story

Earlier this year we got Austrian street Artist Tabby over to do 2 awesome pieces of street art in Carlisle. He did this for free as he believed in my vision and I funded his costs. The public response was massively positive and the body of worldwide research is staggering as to how having public art around a city can massively improve how people interact with and perceive their surroundings...and it looks ace! In my work I am lucky enough to come into contact with many other world famous street artists. I travel a lot and it really strikes me as strange how street art is not part of our surroundings. I have the power to change this...with your help! The money raised is to help fund the costs for paint, travel for the artists and lift hire for large buildings. We already have 4 brilliant artists whoa re ready to come and keen to help and 5 landlords who are very keen to offer us space on their buildings and support to the artists. I am taking no money from this project in fact I am starting it off by contributing to something I and others really feel will help improve Carlisle for the local people, the businesses in and around the centre and inspire more cultural initiatives for the North West. Your support would be massively appreciated if you feel the same. Lets brighten up our surroundings. Thank you

      Update from the Page owner

I know we didn't reach the total but you have already made it possible for me to get final plans underway to get two international artists up here! Using my connections is what it's all about and they are both working for free, the money you have kindly given will go towards flight costs, paint and scaffolding. These things never happen over night (well in fact they do but after a lot of planning!) I can't wait for you to see the finished pieces. Thanks again for helping us get once step closer to more paint on the streets for Carlisle! Ben
