I've raised £200 to pay for training for our volunteers to help our sling library grow!

Jo has been running Carlisle sling library for a few years now and it has grown so much from one lady and her love of slings, it is spreading! Now that the word is getting out and the sling library has become so popular we needed to expand in order to be able to help more families in and around Carlisle. We have recently become Carlisle Sling Library CIC and here is the important part...We have a number of brilliant volunteers but to allow them to give the help people need at our sling meets they need training. We hope to raise as much as we can to cover some of these cost.
Currently the sling meets are the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month and they are becoming really busy, as we grow we hope to be able to put on more sling meets, weekends and midweek and to take our library travelling around playgroups and other venues to make it accessible to a wider range of people. We can't do any of this without the help of our volunteers, the aim is to help spread the babywearing love and knowledge to as many families as we can in our community and we really appreciate all of your support and donations helping us do so.
We are taking part in a sponsored walk on the 21st October, 10am meeting at the Old Town Hall/ Tourist Information in Carlisle city centre and after our walk we will end at our new sling meet venue where we will be hosting a bake sale during our sling meet, anybody is welcome to get involved and join us!
Some of our sling library friends have decided to take on an even bigger challenge including sling Dad - Tank who is aiming to walk 7 miles with his son Nathan in the sling!
