Story

I worked with Georgie at MO and she was always the ray of sunshine in the office. She always had a smile for you and had an aura that just emanated beauty from within. She had her whole life ahead of her. Georgie died last year after an extremely tragic car accident. The charity set up in her honour is very fitting and its desire to bring a little happiness into people's lives in the little ways is a wonderful way to remember the young woman who brought so much happiness into others lives.

I will be taking part in a charity skydive over Guernsey on 26th August 2018. The skydive is being run through the 'Smile for Georgie Foundation'. I didn't think it was fair to ask people to pay for me to jump out of a place, as who all know that I LOVE doing things like this, so I am paying for that part of it myself, but what I am asking for is donations towards the 'Smile for Georgie Foundation'.

A little bit about the charity below...

Everyone who met Georgie noticed her fantastic smile, and this is the concept that the smile can be brought forward, and other people can be made happy through the random acts of kindness which the foundation are going to be doing. The main purpose of the whole charity is just to make a positive difference in people’s lives, and it’s not necessarily for those who always deserve it or that are suffering, but just random. Anyone deserves to have their day made that little bit better. The foundation are also going to take 100 young people, aged 8-11 to Herm. They have been working closely with Social Services to invite the sort of youngsters that would benefit from a 3 or 4 hour trip to Herm. They have organised a magician, a children’s entertainer, a barbecue, treasure hunt and boat trip. It’s all going to be a bit of fun. Parents or carers are going to be accompanying them so it’s a bit of a treat for them as well. The trustees are Georgie’s sister Annie Le Prevost and Peter Le Cheminant.
