I've raised £500 to support five wonderful charities by running the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 7th October

For those of you who know me well you'll know that couch potatoes don't come much more classic than me. And you'll also know that me and exercise are not usually to be found in the same coffee shop.
Which is why I'll hope you'll get behind me in, what is for me, a pretty big deal.
On Sunday 7th October I will be running (and probably shuffling in a lot of places!) the Cardiff Half Marathon. After running my first ever 10k in September as training, this will be my first half marathon and I'm training hard. I am hoping to raise money for not one, but FIVE amazing different causes.
I sing with a brilliant community choir called City Voices Cardiff (if you haven't ever been to one of our concerts, you really are missing a treat!) and as part of this 10th anniversary year, we are aiming to raise an ambitious fundraising total of £10,000 for our five fantastic nominated charities – to share between them.
Here you can read more about each of the charities which are all completely inspiring and deserving in their own right:
Whatever I'm able to raise, I'll be donating towards this total. I would be super grateful for any support you are able to give. If not donations, words of encouragement and advertising that I'm actually doing this thing will certainly give me the kick I need when I'm undoubtedly puffing at mile 2!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and support.
Carly
