I've raised £850 to Therapy Dog

Carly is 7. She is severely autistic and non verbal. Carly does not cope well when outside, especially transitioning from one place to another. This results in violent meltdowns where Carly lashes out at others and also hurts herself. She also tries to escape at every opportunity. Carly has no sense of danger or road sense. This has a huge impact on family life. Most of our time is spent at home. Carly love animals, especially dogs. A therapy dog would provide Carly with support and reassurance when outside, minimising meltdowns and the need Carly feels to run away. We would be able to go out with Carly and access the playpark or do a simple family shopping trip. This would have such a positive impact on all our lives and allow Carly to lead a more settled, safe and fullfilling life.
The puppy will receive training from The Waggy Dog Project who train therapy dogs for people on the autistic spectrum.
