I've raised £200 to Take basic items like socks and underwear to refugees in Calais

Dear reader,
I am asking for your help on behalf of displaced people, who are suffering because of the state of the world today.
Despite the eviction of the Calais ‘Jungle’ in October 2016 and the Dunkirk/Grande Synthe camp burning down in April 2017, there are still around 1,500 refugees sleeping rough in the forests in northern France. This number is expected to increase in the upcoming months. The people who are sleeping rough include a large number of unaccompained minors (despite having a right to care and housing in the Uk). Charitys such as helprefugees.org working over there are struggling to provide people with basics such as socks, underwear and blankets to keep warm.
I am volunteering with refugees.org at the end of May and would ideally like to take as much to Calais as I can carry in donations. They need basics such as gloves, socks, underwear and hygenie items and these are what I aim to take lots of with me when I go.
If you know me and would like to donate items in person please do contact me! I have created this page for anyone who would like to donate but isnt able to physically.
If I recieve more on this page (lets be optimistic!) than i can carry the remaining money will be donated to helprefugees.org so that they can continue their good work.
Please also share this as much as possible with your family and friends.
Thank you so much for your help and support!
