I've raised £2000 to Carnations for Carers

My Grandma Barbara Wells pictured here was a resident at Stanley Park Care Home which was in the news earlier this week, until recently, where she passed away due to Covid 19 on Monday 13th April 2020.
Both my mother and I were delighted with her care from all of the staff at the care home and wanted to do something to thank them.
We came up with an idea to set up this charity page to be able to raise funds and give this money directly to the carers in Stanley Park who are putting their lives and their families lives on the line everyday to help people just like my grandmother.
The concept of this charity page which I have called
‘Carnations for Carers’
is based on my grandmothers love for these flowers. For as long as I can remember she always had carnations in the house, in fact it was the only flower she ever used to have, and pink were her favourite.
When I investigated the symbolism of this flower, I found that it symbolises ‘Gratitude’ and since gratitude is what we feel for these carers we thought it was very appropriate.
