We want to open a small office to employ people from the LGBT community who have suffered job loss due to discrmination, isolation and abuse in there previous jobs.

Why did we decide to start LGT

We run a UK registered homeless charity is Salford, UK. Our outreach programme which helps individuals with access to daily essentials. Through our work we were coming across homeless individuals who were from the LGBT community. We were hearing utter horror stories of their homeless journey. One particular story was a lady who had a good well paid job, she decided to ‘come out’ at her workplace. The horror that followed was shocking. Abuse, isolation, discrimination and social exclusion ensued. She finally couldn’t cope and left her position. Suffering with anxiety and depression she had no income and fell into arrears and was finally evicted. This lady was made homeless purely because she decided to inform her colleagues of her sexuality. This is one of many stories over 2 years we recorded. Hence why we set up LGT. A social media company. A social tech company with a social conscience whilst tackling humanitarian and discrimination issues in the work place.

What does LGT do?

We provide businesses in The Leisure and Hospitality sector social media management. We work on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The person working on the account has suffered or is still suffering with some form of social isolation. We allow them to completely embrace the clients account and build its loyal following. This also helps the individuals healing process as the businesses they are working on are from the Leisure and Hospitality sector, so fun accounts, lovely imagery and lots of interaction. It also empowers the employee as they eat and breathe the individual client account. They also get to visit the establishment and interact with the staff, management and customers too.

They also are working with employees who have also been marginalised or employees who have suffered some form of discrimination in the work place so a sense of sharing common experiences helps the healing process and they all have a sense of passion for helping others.

Our agency is big on tackling Social Discrimination. We work with all types of businesses but they must have a social conscience. 

What is our aim?

To provide a first class service to our clients who have a genuine concern in social inclusion whilst we build up there social media accounts.
