My name is Burt and I am a scout at 118 Scout Group, Littleover Derby. I am excited to be one of the scouts selected to represent my group and the region at the World Scout Jamboree 2019 in West Virginia, USA.

The Boy Scouts of America, Scouts of Canada and the Scout Association of Mexico are jointly hosting the event. Part of this adventure is the fundraising and I am working, with the help of my scout group, to raise the £2,500 that I need to pay to attend the Jamboree. Some of the money I raise will also be used to pay for scouts from other countries who cannot afford to attend.

To start the fundraising I am doing 12 activities in 2018 they are:

Cycling the Derby South Sportive 80km 29th April 2018 with my mum

Running the monthly Keddleston hall Jog Derbyshire 5k with my mum.

Car washing

Odd jobs such as Lawn mowing

Car boot sales

Cake sales

e-bay sales

Plant sales

Sponsered walk

Giving up sweets and chocolate for a month
