Story

As most of you might know, In June 2019, I am going to be heading to Uganda with a fabulous team of people to volunteer alongside the team working at Kisiizi Hospital in the Rukungiri District in Uganda.

Whilst I am there, I am going to be working clinically within the hospital and supporting the local children and their families. I will be supporting the Chilli Foundation Trust (who are a charity working to improve the lives of orphans and children with life limiting disabilities) whilst also supporting the School of Nursing.

I am raising money to be able to provide items and equipment that the Kisiizi Hospital have highlighted they are in need of but also to have the money to provide any resources to children and families who I care for.

An example of the impact money can have…. 3 years ago a member of our team brought 24 pairs of shoes for the equivalent of £20 whilst in Uganda. These shoes were given to a school of children who had none. 3 years later when she returned…these shoes were still being used!!

I would be grateful for any donations.... however big or small... if you would rather donate items instead of money.... we have allocated a large proportion of our luggage to allow us to take donations with us. I have put a list on my facebook page of some of the key items they are asking for so please take a look!

Thank you in advance for your support! Every single donation is going to make a huge difference!

(Please note, the full trip has been paid for so your donations will be going directly to the communities which I will be volunteering within!)
