Story

The little Black and White tuxedo cat came for help one Sunday evening in March after being spotted limping around using only 3 legs. He was trapped and taken to the emergency vets the next morning and subsequently to the animal hospital for further diagnosis plus x-rays. His elbow joint had unfortunately now "fused" by this time thus making his leg useless.

Amputation has been advised but as he is not now in pain we are going to try and see if some items can be sold off to pay for an MRI and possible surgery.

Then on top of this - one of the previously rescued cats was hit by a van at 4pm on Good Friday (April 19th). This little tabby took nearly 3 hours to drag herself back home where she knows she is loved and would find the help she so desperately needed.

As soon as she was spotted crawling back home she was rushed to the animal hospital for emergency treatment and x-rays. Luckily nothing fractured but there is hidden nerve or soft tissue damage that requires further investigation - namely an MRI and possible surgery.

We have CCTV images of the van and driver and the Police have been informed.

The vets are very compassionate but it does seem that the money has to come first. Luckily the bills to date are paid for and until something of value sells things are quite simply at a standstill to progress with further diagnosis and treatment.

Both cats are comfortable and without pain at the moment which is a relief as this provides some leeway before the bills start again.

If any one would like further information on these 2 please ask. All vet bills/receipts are available and up-to-date at the moment (over £1,000 paid out so far) and to progress their treatment/surgery will take a great deal more.
