Story
In October 2018, Carole Macpherson was diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer. In August 2019, after 10 months of receiving world class medical treatment in Dubai, Carole was officially cancer free so both her and her husband Scott took some time away to enjoy four carefree weeks on holiday together!
Upon returning to Dubai in October, they received a call from the hospital asking them to come in, it was bad news… It was then that Carole was diagnosed with an incurable MBC, secondary breast cancer of the Liver. A short 9 months later, on 14th July 2020, Carole sadly passed away at 51 years old.
Through the pain and the grief, Scott reflected upon Carole’s selfless personality and the journey they shared during her diagnosis, deciding to raise awareness about secondary breast cancer in his wife’s memory.
That’s how the idea of the Carole Macpherson Memorial fundraiser was born, which will be held at Meldrum House in Aberdeen on 19th May 2022.
With donations provided by our generous sponsors, we have a portfolio of prizes, including exciting experiences for you and your loved ones and sports memorabilia, which will be a part of the live auction during our black tie dinner in the evening. All funds raised from the event will go to support the important work of our beneficiaries at MET UP UK and Make 2nds Count.
It promises to be a great night with brilliant golf and auction prizes, a delicious three course evening meal and fabulous entertainment throughout – a night you won’t want to miss!
