Caroline as many of you may know through fitness classes or massage, was diagnosed on 21st June with stage 4 lung cancer, which has travelled to lymph nodes, spine and more aggressively a tumour on her femur bone. Her disease is both incurable and inoperable but she has been offered treatment using a private oncology clinic in London to work alongside traditional treatment. She has been statistically given a year to live but without treatment will rapidly decline, which has already began overnight by losing mobility and requiring a wheelchair to move about. There are many adaptions required at her home, including traditional stairs being required, as this is currently a spiral staircase, so far from ideal. Caroline does not want to be confined to her bedroom at this early stage but this is only one of the major adaptations, of which need to be dealt with quite quickly. Many people have being asking Caroline how can they help and whilst we cannot help medically, it would mean the world to Caroline, Nick and their 2 lovely girls Ellie and Libby if we could make a difference and ease the pressure to help support their upcoming immediate needs.
