Story

If youre new to this story, my cousin is autistic and was tricked into signing paperwork that enabled loan sharks to put a charge on his home.

The picture you see is his house. The loan sharks have registered property in Monaco and Florida keys and they live in absolute luxury.

He was made redundant and was unable to pay his bills so they "bought" his bankruptcy debt, saying they would help keep his home safe.

They secured £2000 on his home that was left to him by his father, and the debt has now inflated to £71, 000 and they are demanding the money.

I found out about this by accident - he doesn't know when to ask for help and is unable to tell who to trust and who not to trust. This company have done this to hundreds of people and have been featured on the BBC programme Inside Out and the One Show. Nevertheless we have to follow the process. A statutory demand was set aside, but now they are going for full posession, hoping we will not be able to resist. This means Jason wil be made homeless unless we can prove the contract was unfair. Our case is that they misrerpesented their service and also that Jason was unable to fully comprehend the Paperwork, as a disabled person he has a right to get information in a way he can understand, which for an autisitc person of Jay's nature needs to be presented in a very specific way.

We have a very limited time to make the application which is being prepared for us for free by a solicitor but we desperately need money to pay junior counsel to represent us in court.

We need a barrister because we have been told if we represent ourselves they will tie us up in knots.

Please help prevent my disabled cousin from becoming homeless through no fault of his own.
