Story
On the 29th of September, Anna Chancellor, lost her only child, Poppy, age 36, to Leukaemia.
Anna is a beloved British actress, known for many roles, including playing Caroline Bingley in the 1995 adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. She is also the direct descendent of Austen's brother.
Her daughter Poppy was an artist and had a very close and loving relationship with her mother. Anna said of her only child: “Poppy was and is an unbelievable life force of creativity, compassion, wit, beauty and sheer uniqueness. She transformed our lives, and we are beyond grateful.”
Losing your child is every parent's biggest fear and worst nightmare, but to lose your only child must leave a particularly painful void and heartbreak.
To show our support, we would like to send Anna and her family some flowers to say how sorry we are for her loss and to celebrate the life and light that was Poppy.
